The wildfires in Australia really struck a nerve for my son. We spent a long time talking about what information was out there and what people had done and could do. I had just the day before seen a post about what crafters were doing and I realized there was a way I could help, too. So, I crocheted some nests for orphaned baby animals. It’s not much, but it was something. If I have time (and my hands recover), I’ll crochet some more.
What has moved you to action?
Her glass of wine joined his on the table and she launched herself at him, grabbing him by the back of his head and pulling him close for a kiss. Their lips met and heat scorched through her body. The tension of the night exploded between them and she couldn’t get close enough. She tore off her leather jacket, no longer feeling the chill of the coming dawn, and pressed herself against him.
He ran his hands down her sides and his tongue explored her mouth.

Happy Gotcha Day!
One year ago this week, we brought the puppy home with us. And we are just as in love with him, if not more. The kids have been great with him – helping train him, helping feed him, taking him out when I ask.
He’s my writing buddy, keeping me warm at this time of year by lying right against me when I’m on my computer. But sometimes he wants to be right on me and pushes the laptop off my lap, or gets my attention by tapping on my keyboard or trying to close my laptop on my fingers. He has learned that will ALWAYS get my attention. And sometimes he forces me to take a break and go for a walk. Being in the moment, enjoying nature, focusing on him – all good things.
